led rear light bulbs

anyone on here using these, I`m looking for a supplier, and have tried google and ebay, but when it comes to sourcing a tail/foglight bulb, (which are listed as tail/brakelight)
the pins on the bulb are shown as 180 deg, directly opposite each other, whereas the griff has the pins offset, so if you were looking at a clockface one pin at 6 and the other roughly around 10/11 mark, very confusing, as no one seems to list bulbs with this pin configuration, but it must be common enough as they are vauxhall light units.

any ideas?

The pins don't actually do anything other than hold the bulb in, and just one pin is sufficient Clive. I know, I filed one off when I got the wrong bulb.

Don't buy cheap tat off ebay ! !

Been running LED's for years now, but if you're doing indicators you'll need resistors. All exlained at the above site which has an automotive section to match your bulbs too.

Pins are an issue when trying to fit as Ian has described, without the bulb 'can' work loose.

Don't have a single filament bulb anywhere on the Griffith, interior are all LED's as are all driving lights and the headlamps and mains are HID's.

Halfords sell all bulbs... If you file of one side bulb will shake loose & sit pissed in holder

well after searching for best part of an hour I can`t find anyone who sells a 566 led in white, found some amber ones but not much use as a tail/fog light, looks like I`ll have to wait until next week when people are back at work and make some phone calls

I have one LED bulb in my rear lights but can't remember which one. But I'll pull the carrier out in the morning and get some details.

Forgot to remove the rear lamp carrier this morning to bring to work {idiot) but I do have the guys email at UltraLEDs so if someone can help me out with the following I'll drop him a line.

One bit of bad news is I have confirmation from the guy they don't sell offset pin versions of these bulbs (bad news if you don't believe me about filing off one of the pins that is)

Types
Can someone confirm all the bulbs are the same type (BA15S) baring one which is a dual filament 566
I'm pretty sure they all do look the same

So our bulbs are;

Are all the BA15S the same watts ?

Oh, I forgot to mention the rear numberplate bulbs.
I can strongly recommend the LED Festoon bulbs because they run completely cold. God knows what TVR were thinking when they put unprotected red hot bulbs in the boot space of the precat cars, just waiting for something soft and nylon to be put against it

Bit firkin expensive as a complete kit Sean, but I get your thinking.
Including numberplate and front indicators but not side repeaters you have 12 bulbs at an average of £9 each.
And you will need a pair of resistors for the indicators which will be another £10
(although I'm sure I've read a mod to a standard relay but haven't been able to find it again)

When we have a list I'll drop Steve Heath a line, see if he is interested.

thanks for all the info, Andy and Ian , as it turns out I`ve been in touch with autobulbs direct and asked about the 566 leds, they replied today showing me standard twin filament bulbs, so I have just replied with the link to their own website, asking when they will be in stock

when I order them all I`ll put a list up for anyone else interested so they know what to get.

just got back from Portsmouth, been to the dvla office to have my reg transferred

only trouble was mrs f came and said "O`h look there are sales on in the shops"!:groan:

so after carrying all of her shopping bags I`ve got arms like a bloody orangutan
