I seem to remember the wedge cars were very labour intensive to make, the Griffith came along and was cheaper to make and cheaper to buy.

So the wedge did cost more than the Griff.

My car cost almost 50K in 1990 !

My guess is a 450 SE today would be 65K yikes

I have an october 1990 original price list that matches the above.

stating that without any of the optional extra,s a

400SE @ £26499.00
450SE @ £29499.00 including vat

standard equipment included ,power steering, electric door mirrors, mohair roof ,alloy wheels
,radio cassette, get this the spoiler was standard on 450's only , i think I heard you guys say this before.

Apparently all prices increased by 2.5% Vat on 1.4.1991.

I love all this retro stuff sonar

I'm surprised they'd call front brake dust shields optional. Cheap bds... should've been standard equipment.

Why, so you can pay for them and throw them away to help improve the nasty brakes they had??

Are you saying they prevent adequate cooling air flow?

I was told with I go the SEAC it cost of the car from Harrogate Horseless Carriages to the first owner was over £37,000, I think these cars would cost a great deal to make them and if they were a market to sell them would any one pay the price for it.

Brake cooling is better without.
