WARNING: blatant product promotion alert
I uploaded a couple of our Monkey cocktail instructional videos to Youtube. Sadly the smooth scottish mixologist on show is not me, but the other member of Team Monkey - expert barman Jamie.

both of these can be made in bulk, i.e. not individually shaken. The trick of making manhattans in a cafetiere works really really well - they come out perfect. Alternatively you can just use a large jug - just gently stir the mixture with ice with a bar spoon to chill it down, then strain as you pour into ice-cold martini glasses.
For the Mojito, mix the lime, sugar, whisky and mint in a jug and keep covered in the fridge. If you leave it for 6+ hours the flavour of the mint will absorb into the liquid, so you wont need to muddle it. Then just pour into highballs, top with ice and ginger beer.
You can also use Simple syrup (sugar syrup) in place of powdered sugar for a smoother tasting drink. I got some at Waitrose.
blatant plug over

ithankyou
