We've got a new build bathroom to fit out for my Dad. He's not very keen on tiles and would prefer some sort of cladding. In the existing bathroom he's put some sort of large, marine ply type sheets but I can't work out what they are called?

I've found all sorts of narrower plastic tongue and groove type boarding which looks quite nice and seems quite reasonably priced.

I'd be interested in your idea's about wall coverings - is there anything else that I haven't thought about?

Cheers

Oddly enough I met someone yesterday who'd just had their bathroom done in the 'PVC planks' you mention and they loved it. Also acts as insulation.

Look up wetwall panels, they look good esp the dark tile effect one.

Have spent alot of time recently fitting Altro Whiterock. If you can find a finish you are happy with its does look good and is durable and hygienic.

That said I am doing my bathroom in the new year and am going to use tiles for a more traditional look.

Many people use Respatex in place of wall tiles.

That looks superb! Very scandinavian. What did you finish the wood with, and are those tiles stuck on the wood 'round the bath?

Oli.
