Forza 3 on Xbox - championship with my mates

A few mates and I have all got Forza for Christmas. We tried (unsuccessfully) the other night to set up a mini championship, where we race 4/5 different tracks, points awarded etc. But I can't seem to find a way of doing it in the lobby. There seems to be loads of options but couldn't see anything that would fit the bill. Anyone know if its possible to do? Thanks.

go race > multiplayer > private race

check you have invite only at the bottom of the screen. Then invite your friends.

As you set this up you should be host. To select the track, number of laps etc simply choose 'game setup'

Yeah I have done that, but I assumed there would be a way of the 'system' tracking results rather than me writing it down. Guessing that isn't an option?

I think you need to setup a series - I am pretty sure it's in the lobby menu if you press the shoulder buttons.

I've just had a look and I dont think there is a series option anymore.
Its a shame if there isnt.
