Anti Roll Bar diameter

As part of my "front end refurbishment" I am replacing the ARB bushes.
According to everything I have read the ARB diameter was 24mm on S1's and 26mm on later models

I have a S2 first registered in Jan 1990.

It appears that my ARB is 22mm. I have measured it 4 times with the same result. The circumference is 70mm which divided by pi leads me back to 22mm.

What is fairly conclusive is the big 22 on the bush.

It is a ford bush, other numbers being 128 30 005273-01 , 84AB 5484AA.

Any ideas as to why my ARB is only 22mm?
Has anyone else come across this?

Earlier cars tend to have a 24 or 26mm ARB. Later cars tend to have a 22mm ARB.

It makes more sense now.
The bush is flat and not W shaped which also leads to the same conclusion
