Hi, I'm wondering if any of you know of a BMW specialist where I can fix my cd player. BMW are asking for £800 which I find to be a bit excessive. i live in London. It is the one that slides down for access.

Thanks

Which screen do you have?

Why not just buy 2nd hand off ebay or from a breaker?

Have you tried disconnecting the system?

What is the actual problem?

The cd player does not work...

if i buy it from ebay who will fit it for me? i don't want to mess around with the cables...i think that would be the best solution though. i buy the whole unit.

it's the widescreen one

Buy the complete unit off ebay and fit it yourself.

It is plug and play and will take you about 5 minutes or take it to local stereo shop and hand over a £10 note.

They are not coded.

You remove the plastic trim that runs around dash ( small screw driver ) and system unscrews. ( Philips Screw driver )

Oh and start with the trim that leads from passenger side first.

Buy this and sell the bits you don't need.

No problem, obviously the above is only an example and you can buy from anyone you wish.
