Going over to Basel in Switzerland for a few days after new year to see some freinds from Germany! Anything around there I shouldnt miss? Not an area I know so any ideas? Cheers chaps!

I'm not 100% certain on how close these places are, as it's been a while since I was in Switzerland and I used Interlaken rather than Basel as my base, but the following are well worth a visit if possible.

Trummelbach falls

We went from Basel to Mulhouse for the French National Car museum/ Schlumf collection.

Have been here a few times - lovely part of the world. Make sure you get a special tourist/train pass for the various things listed above - much cheaper, otherwise 100 Euros + to go up the Jungfrau alone.

We plan to return there next summer, maybe rent a cottage for a week.

Im not sure I want to go all the way to Switzerland and go to an Irish bar hehe Anyone one know of any good traditional bars/pubs that serve Swiss beer drink
