Just had a bit of chat in work canteen about a Save the Panda WWF advert.

Do we think that we should be expending time and money saving them, or should we accept that they are dying out due to changing conditions - like many, many species before. (Granted, deforestation is the reason here)

Or let them die out?

I thought they were now even more common than ever, with the scrappage scheme and all!

If they can't be arsed to get laid where is the money going to.

Animals become extinct, so what.

We will be at some point too.

I think there are two valid sides to this argument.

It's not just black and white.

And, between us, I believe we've exhausted all the panda-related puns.

ETA: Apart, obviously, from the black and white one above.

"Eats shoots and leaves " would not seem to be appropriate in the case of a panda!

That's the Koala bear that isn't a bear.

I wonder if Pandas get depressed?
That could make them a Bi-Polar bear, and the world would be saved

Wouldn't bi-polar bears would just spend all day bumming each other and thereby end the existence of another type of bear?

That theory follows the evidence. Better let those Liberal Commie bds know the truth!

I cant imagine they'd help us out if it were the other way round.

For a long time I have thought it was time to let the Pandas go fk themselves. But they can't even manage to do that.

I'm with Chris Packham on this one:

Hang on... do they really need saving or is this just another chrity scam to line the pockets of those running it. I recall when I was about 11 the wwf were trying to 'save the panda'. That was 32 years ago I would have though it would be well and truly saved by now....
