Although there is a thread on this over in the "Boats, Trains and Planes" forum (yes, don't ask), I thought those who don't frequent such niche forums might like to know about this.

The eclipse began about 45 minutes ago but will be best seen around 7.00 pm this evening - weather permitting.

Looks like I might get it. Scope has been out for a few hours now.

Pollux. Spoke too soon.

It happens to be a blue moon too, as in second full moon in the same month

I think I saw a bit but was difficult to make out what was dark because of cloud or eclipse.

I can see it now and again...lots of clouds passing, think it's away to snow.
Looks great though.

Doesn't seem to be getting any more 'eclipsed' confused

Still a bright, shiny moon.

Too many threads now frown

Anyway, it's very cloudy here in north Hampshire so nothing to see.

Completely forgot about it but I was shutting the curtains a few minutes ago and thought "the moon looks great, pitty that bit is hidden behind a cloud... oh wait" smile
