but I eventually found out why there was a puddle on the floor. Water condenses on the inside of the window (north facing) and runs onto the wooden cill inside, then onto the floor.

At this rate the inside cill will soon start to rot. This must be a common problem - are there any solutions?

Buy about 30 pairs of brand new shoes and use the little packets of silica gel to absorb the moisture inside your shed!

How thick is the wooden sill? Could you maybe cover it with a pvc sill and some how angle it to make the condensation run into a container?

Replace the window glass with either perspex/polycarbonate or a double glazed unit - less temperature change = less condensation. Personally I'd go with Polycarbonate (aka Lexan) - ebay usually has offcuts at reasonable prices...

Hmm, I'd always thought that glass windows were 'better' than plastic ones... at least, plastic windows seem to be the norm for cheap sheds. Don't really want to change them if I can help it.

I have some PVC trim strips left over from fitting some house windows...might fix those to the cill with sealant, angled back and with a drain tube at one end... or is there a better idea?
