I'm sorry if this question has been covered before, but I've looked back through the topics, and I can't find anything that helps.

A couple of days back, I received a notice of intended presecution for an endorsable offence. It alleges I was doing 63 mph in a 50 zone. I bet I wasn't was my first instinct. I wouldn't speed there, but maybe the camera was right? It must have been a miobile camera, because the letter says I was photographed, and there are no fixed cameras on that bit of road.

Anyway here are my questions:

1) Am I likely to get 3 points and a £60 fine? (I wouldn't know, I've been driving for 13 years, and I've never had one of these letters).

2) How can I contest this? I heard that you can ask to see the evidence that the camera was properly calibrated. I also heard that you can ask to see the evidence that the camera operator was properly qualified to operate the equipment.

Help appreciated....or links etc.
Thanks.

There are LOTS of topics on here covering this. Just search for 'nip' or 'caught' and you'll be happy all day!

Good luck fighting the case!*

*I'd look some up for you now, but it's late and I'm sure someone else will be along soon who's had less beer than me and can hence do a better job...
