Hi Chaps.
I've recently moved to the south bath, east bristol area and found myself not having a clue where the nearest service place Is for my chim ! Does anyone have any recomendations and/or places to steer away from at all costs in this area ?
Cheers
Rob

Rob, We're in Chippenham and use Peninsula in Exeter, and plan on continuing. They are very good, and very helpful.
Others in the area are County TVR in Cheltenham, and I believe there are a couple in / around Bristol (Williams?, Cleevewood?), but not having used any of these I cannot say how good they are. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to give a recommendation!
Cheers,
Karl
I'm in Bath and also use Peninsula for service and upgrades - I strongly recommend them.I haven't used the other 2 mentioned by Hobbitt but I understand that Williams are no longer a main dealer and in any case like County TVR ( who are a new dealer ) they were multi brand not just TVR centric like Peninsula

I believe Peninsula are about to start doing Lotus www.peninsula-cars.co.uk has links to peninsula-tvr.co.uk and a "coming soon" pic of an elise. peninsula-lotus.co.uk is registered to a "Richard Smith", the same as peninsula-tvr.co.uk, peninsula-cars.co.uk and peninsulaauto.co.uk.
....still won't stop me using them mind!
Im new to the TVR scene and I am in the process of looking for a dealer (as Karl already knows).
I have heard a lot of people talking about Peninsula and they will be on my list to call in the next few weeks, becuase I am struggling to find a Tamora demo car in the South West.
I have called County and they have been quite helpful, although I haven't visited them just yet becuase they won't be putting a new demo car on, until March.
It's interesting about Williams (Can anyone confirm their dealer status?)
There is also a dealer just of the M4 in wilts (whom I have visited), but the boss doesn't really inspire you to part with your cash.

I was in Williams the other week looking at a cerb they seem to deal in all sorts including Nobel, Lotus, Saab, Morgan and TVR. Have a look - www.williamsautomobiles.com
Not had any service or sales experience of them yet although will probably use them when I eventually find the right Cerb.

I think Peninsula may have a Tamora..... there was certainly one down there when were down there a week or so ago... I don't know if its a demo, new or second hand mind. Best to call and ask I guess. We dealt with Richard Mayoh, but all of the guys down there are more than helpful. The coffee isn't bad either

Thanks for the replies chaps. I may investigate williams as they're just 15 mins drive away !
Tiny.
Do Peninsula give you a courtesy car ? or come and pick your griff up ? Or do you drive down there and wait 1/2 the day ?
Cheers

Peninsula do have courtesy cars, or will collect/return your car for a modest fee (just the cost of the fuel IIRC).
I believe they also have a bit of a deal with a farmhouse down by the coast if you want to make a long weekend/couple of day break of it.....
Cheers,
Karl
Hi Rob
I live just south of Bath also, perhaps we could hook up for a beer and general TVR chat.
I work in Fanham and have used Hawthornes but now they no longer do TVR so I would be interested to hear how you get on at Williams. I have been meaning to pop in and take a look but they do Nobels and I am worried I'll buy one.

I live in Bristol, and use www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk for servicing as they are only down in Nailsea (i.e. 20 mins) plus they now they a good size premises, meaning plenty of space to keep the car out of the weather. Peninsula is fine too but it takes me over an hour to get there which is a real pain if I need to leave it!!
By the way Rob you should come along to the monthly tvrcc meet, certainly get to meet some local Tiv drivers there. see www.tvrcc-bristol.co.uk
