M3 cab, whats it worth?
Discussion
Friend is selling me his M3 cab, 54 plate, 67k, silvery grey with hardtop, smg 2, tv, sat nav, harmon kardon, black heated leather, 19's, can't think of anything it has'nt got, immaculate condition, really is, there's currently a fault with smg that he said he will fix first, will need 2 new tyres in the next 6 months and is due a service soon, he paid 18k from a dealer 9 months ago, what's it worth???
What service will be due? If it's just an oil service then it's not too bad, but if it's either of the inspections and you go to a BMW dealer it's going to be fairly costly so take that into consideration. Two new tyres for the rear will be between £300-500 depending on which you go for, so another consideration there. Did your mate buy it from a BMW main dealer? If so it'll still be covered under warranty so the smg fault won't cost anything to get fixed. I'd hazard a guess at about £15-16k depending on the service required and if it's got the warranty.
I wouldn't really be wanting to pay more than £16.5k and it would have to be in very good nick.
I got offered £19k private for mine last week which I was very, very tempted by and it is fully loaded (with hardtop) 24,000 miles and just been Inspection 1 serviced (one month ago).
Mine also has the CSL brake upgade with race fluid and some minor cosmetic changes - black grilles on front and side and carbon fibre black and silver badges etc.
£18k for the same model but with 40,000 more miles is a bit too rich.
