New job forces relocation - Aberdeen...

Hi all.
I've been offered a job offshore that requires me to relocate to Aberdeen. It's not a rotational job in terms of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - hence the relocation.
Which parts of Aberdeen (and surrounding areas) are nice to stay in? How much should I expect to pay per month for rent etc?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
