The sun is the first paper to have picked up on this , so that is why i have posted the link , so please don't fire me down just yet!

Above is the link for the website that is organising this march.

There is no set date for the march , it may not even go ahead!

I can see this not going down well with a lot of people. The town has become almost sacred for fallen troops being re-patriated to British soil.

By all means have a march to honour the fallen Muslim people. But this looks like it is just trying to incite hatred.

Thoughts?

I can't even believe they are letting this go ahead. The idea of a memorial for the fallen innocent Muslims of this phoney war sounds great however i'm not comfortable with these guys doing it and especially in 'wootton bassett'. I can't see why he is an extremis for doing so especially he states it will not co-incide with the latest body coming back home. But then again it is the sun who has reported this and everyone knows the sun is read by scum.

A look at their website and there;s mention of 'sheik omar bakri'. IIRC he ran Al-Mahijoroun before it was banned and the coward escaped Lebanon when the israelis started bombing.

The end result is going to be more hatred towards all muslims and more publicity for this guy. Publicity means a bigger audience. Thats what he wants and its what he will get.frown

The proposed march by members of Islam4UK is however of a very different venture, held not in memory of the occupying and merciless British military, but rather the real war dead who have been shunned by the Western media and general public as they were and continue to be horrifically murdered in the name of Democracy and Freedom - the innocent Muslim men, women and children.
I don't see these people protesting in pakistan, as innocent Muslim men, women and children are slaughtered by their own lunatic Muslim fanatics in the name of Islam.

Funny, that...

Edit...I typed a capital P for pakistan. What manner of Black Magic turned it into a p....?

Edit, Edit...See, it did it again

The Islam4uk website put this up before the Sun picked up on it. No doubt more papers will follow.

This is not looking good at all. If this march does go ahead , i know a few riled up ex-squaddies that will be popping down there.

On further searching that web site is Al-Mahijoroun... i thought i had seen the back of them but no they came back... i also thought Al-Mahijoroun was banned so how can they still have a uk web site?

Ex-squaddies should keep away, if it kicks off. Of course the scum newspaper will glorify them but in reality the extremists will report it as a load of army guys attacking a protest in memorial of the people they killed. Not good either way.

If they do pull this together, we need to line the street in force and quietly turn our backs on them...

Have to agree with Shaid, irrespective of your point of view, this doesnt bode well for any point of view and should be seen as a fairly agressive and provocative act.

As per any extremist protest, I feel that most people should simply turn the other cheek smile

Surely you meant to type the idea of a memorial for all the fallen innocent victims of this war was great. Not specify muslims.

What is it with these people? why do they hate us so much? As a relativley non confrontational citizen of this once great country (who try's to get along with his fellow man), I must say that I am just tired of hearing about this sort of stuff from these people. That web site is frightening and confrontational, unfortunatley I feel that this whole scenario can only get worse.

Just my 2p's worth...

This is crazy! We are, I have no doubt, seen as weak by our enemies, when they see our submissive stance.

Although not directly related, I think this snippet shows in a small way where we have gone wrong;

"When warfare morphed from nation-vs-nation with clear geopolitical boundaries to “fourth generation” guerilla-style fighting, America failed to adapt. Bush bombing Iraq was a good start. But then a meme started making the rounds: “We need to stop fighting because we’re only increasing al-Qaeda’s recruiting!” That’s how you know you’re not fighting a war properly. If the enemy is still fighting back, you harass and crush them until anyone else thinking of making trouble reconsiders. It’s what America did in the Second World War – the last one it fought properly.

After that, the Civil Rights movement emerged, and has now been extended to embrace every foreign enemy – to the point where the idea of trying foes in military tribunals, as was done with Nazis and various foreign spies over the years, is considered unacceptable.

Before political correctness took hold, America knew how to flush out the mob without worrying about offending Italians, and how to fight Nazis without being too concerned about the feelings of Germans. Many within these two ethnic groups realised that the solution was to turn in those who were causing the average person to make common-sense judgments based on the average offender’s profile. It worked. Now few people automatically associate Italians with the mob or Germans with Hitler. And therein lies the solution for Muslims who are sick of being given side-eye on airplanes.

As for America – you’re not going to do anything. You’re not going to wage a winnable war that will anger the Left, because that would mean a Predator drone dropping the requisite bombs over various troublesome swamps to take out the enemy, some civilians, and any United Nations types hanging around the area in an attempt to exchange “bombz 4 hugz”. Instead, you’re going to further harass air travellers, and your own citizens, and do everything in your power that is both useless and annoying to avoid actually having to win a guerilla war..."

So basically using the deaths of innocents to make a political point at a location deliberately chosen for it's contentiousness.

How very grown up.

This is insane! When Britain succumbs to Islamic rule?!?! I am actually worried by this.
Seriously, are you worried about the contents of their website?

This is a group which numbers no more than a few dozen active members (As we saw during the Mohammad cartoons and Luton protests.

Sure Britain has a problem with radical Islam but it isnt Anjem Choudhary and loony mates we have to worry about.

How many of the 7/7 bombers, Glasgow airport attackers or any of the other failed bombers in this country were part of crazy groups like this?

We should be more worried about the 'clean shaven' radicals in this country who fall under the radar than groups like this who are all mouth but very little else.

It won't happen. Its just an unpleasant publicity stunt designed to keep the nutters on the front page on in a particularly crass way.

The result will be frothing religious nutters, more BNP recruits and a hard time for the majority of Muslims.
