Thinking about shelling out a few squid on a little flash drive thingy.

Mostly for work related files back and forth - maybe the odd jpeg or the like. Obviously want to keep a few pics of the Griff with me - so this is a PH-related thread!!!

As they've now come down in price, has anybody got any tips on what's best for the money?

Had an offer of a 32 Mb one through the post at under a tenner. Thinking I might go for a bigger size.

Also - I am still on steam-driven 98SE at home and I see I will need a driver - do they all automatically come with the necessary driver or have I got to beware of a hidden cost?

Just bought a pen drive from Scan (only because thay are the only place that sold the one I wanted). 64Meg of flash, but with a MMC/SD card reader built in.... just the job as the stereo in the Chim will play mp3 files from MMC/SD cards....
..anyway, it was £46 including vat and postage.

IMO 64Mb should be the bare minimum you should be considering.

I recently bought a PQI 256Mb USB2.0 pen drive from e-buyer and have been very impressed with it. It came with drivers included for ye olde Windows 98, and any decent pen drive should also.

Here's the link if you're interested: www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=48500

£58.50 inc delivery.

My £10 32MB job came from ebuyer with all the relavent drivers, my parents use them on their computer which has Win98 with no problem.
