Has anyone got any big plans for the year or is this the year you finally do something you've been planning for years?

For me it's more the latter as I'm planning to go teach English in South Korea or Hong Kong by the summer.

Holiday plans are a weekend in Paris with the parents, possible weekend at the Nurburgring and a visit to Singapore and Laos on the way to teach smile

Off to Fuerteventura at the start of Feb. First proper holiday for the 4 of us. Apart from that, it's off to our house in France for Easter and June.

Maybe a long weekend trip to Vegas or Buenos Aires using my Star Alliance miles towards the end of the year...

Not a BIG holiday, but I'm popping across to NY in the next month or so and then driving out to Centralia.

I don't know! OH has booked the honeymoon for September but I don't know where it is!
I'm normally busy researching the hotel and resort so I'm at a bit of a loose end at the moment. I'll read about everyone else's instead!

Iceland in Feb, perhaps a ski-trip Feb/March, probably some altitude training in the summer somewhere. Various weekends away in the UK too.

South Island New Zealand for a couple of weeks in early March. Bagged two return tickets from Singapore Airlines for £749. Top bargain! Kaikoura to whale watch, Akaroa for swimming with dolphins, mount cook for the scenery (anywhere for the scenery actually!) Queenstown for the jet boating, a bit of hot air ballooning, up to Nelson to visit school mate and finally, Lone Star restaurant (in either Christchurch or Queenstown) for the ultimate meat eating sesh!! Have even organised a hoon out with TVR owners in Christchurch...well, you would, wouldn't you?!!

Happy new year to y'all, wherever you holiday this year, have fun!

A week in Tampa, Florida in May. Oldest friend is out there working, would be rude not to go visit

Scally Mille Miglia end of June, drive home via Stelvio & Nurburgring

2 weeks in Peru - September, providing dental care to rural communities and a few days sightseeing (if I'm accepted, fingers crossed)

Should be a good year smile

Drive down to the Cote d'Azur in May for a couple of weeks, taking in Paris on return - the usual! smile Almost certainly off to Dubai for a week at some point (again!) as a mate has bagged a job out there and has a great flat on the Palm..... Anything else will be off the cuff or on the back of a job.

BTW, just returned from 6 weeks in Seoul - cool place, feel free to PM if you'd like some advice or pointers. There are quite a few English teachers out there, do you speak any Korean or understand Hangul?

Currently doing my 1st one. Started in Thailand week before Xmas, just driven from brisbane to sydney and back via different routes taking in a bit of a mix of NSW and Queensland, flying to Townsville tomorrow picking up a yacht and sailing it through the great barrier reef and the Whitsundays then down the East Coast... back end of Jan.

Already planning to come back in December and sail her from Aus to NZ, both Islands, then onto Fiji and back... but not confirmed as yet. Depends on how things are when I get home biggrin
