Vectra 3.2 GSi

I know the thread title will make a lot of people scoff, but so be it, here's my daily runabout!





It's a 3.2 V6 auto, not the quickest thing on four wheels, but does the job for me, it has a few bits that have been upgraded, Wheels, brakes and suspension for example.

The 'Irmscher' banner down the side might be coming off, It's been there for two years and I still can't decide.....

To those who are that way inclined, it was also pictured in Total Vauxhall magazine recentley, as part of a buying guide.

Yeah, before I even read what you wrote, I had my reservations about the Irmscher decals..

At least they are quite subtle. Looks like a tidy car, I'm sure it's not too slow with a 3.2 v6.

The wheels look alright. I'm a fan of more subtle looking cars however, so the decals would go and a normal grille be put back in, other than that it's nice.

I'd lose the decals and maybe the grille? If only to maintain a street sleeper look? Nice and cheeky otherwise.

Seen one of these in the flesh a couple of months ago. Engine sounded fairly nice. I'm liking it.

I really like that! Must say I would never have looked twice at a Vauxhall but having had an Astra SportHatch for the last 2.5 years it's definitly changed my opinion

What's the MPG like on it?

I think the decals look ok btw!

That's very nice. I like that a lot, especially the wheels. Think they sound like the old 2.5/2.6 V6 when they have an induction kit fitted.

This is also on my shortlist of possible next purchases.

Decals are coming off around Easter time, Grille will be staying, the original has a whacking great chrome V, which I really don't like.

Fuel consumption.... Not ghastly, on a sensible run, sitting on the motorway on cruise at 70 of your leptons, it will return 38 to the gallon! Drive it like my wife and you're lucky to see 23!

Really nice looking car fella(apart from the decals) always had a soft spot for the Vectra c (my dad has a Vectra Elite)the GSi is a very good car, case in point the boys in blue love them the newer 2.8turbo they now use are seriously rapid machines (a mate has one as a company hack and prev had the 3.2)can't praise them enough p.s really like the wheels on yours can't remember the name of them though been tempted by the GSi a few times 23mpg isn't too bad

Had one of these about a year ago...one of the last on a 54 plate with just over 10k on clock.Almost as new and an absolute steal at £4750..
Loved it to bits..Had to sell due to imminent redundancy..Ironically bought the car from a traffic cop(his w/end toy)and sold it to a retired chief of nottingham police..A real sleeper IMOA..

I sadly once owned a pre-facelift vectra c and whilst it was a fair amount of car for the money, to label any model publicly as a weekend toy is clinically insane
