I mean really is everyone but me a complete moron?

Its started snowing again, and several people on my street have been running up and down the road with shovels trying to make 2 grooves for their tyres. All this is doing is scraping off the top, and compacting down the bottom so its more like ice. And its still snowing so its just filling back up as fast as they can move it.

My parents have just been outside to shovel a path. Ive no fking idea why, we're not going anywhere until tomorrow, why do we need to clear a path when its just going to get recovered.

Everyone acts like the apocolypse is coming, and then get mad at me when I either laugh at them for being so stupid, or just ignore them because im not flummoxed by frozen water.

Just another reason to leave this country mad

Could be worse, when we had snow where i live, as it isnt a bus route, the council didnt grit it, hence the WGBE up the road in his wannabe m3 doing endless wheelspins and slides, thereby compacting the stuff and turning our road into an icerink. What a cock

Our grit boxes are empty and we can't get up the hill to leave the village, but certain neighbours have suspiciously clear drives while mine is ice bound and has been for 2 weeks.

Got to say OP, bit of an overreation to want to leave the country because someone wants to shovel snow off their own driveway hehe

Fancy dealing with a few real problems to put things in perspective a bit? wink

That being said, if it were not for a bit of icy weather, where would the fktards that were born with a permenent lack of personal responsibility get their "payday" from...

At least you have them, our council (Reading) removed them all.

Hence the Monday before Christmas, no one was able to assist the council, who had done censored all before it snowed, waited for a weather warning 1h45mins after it started snowing before calling a meeting about the snow, and censored all afterwards.

Good answer! clap

TBH, they are probably just worried and therefore just prone to irrational thoughts/acts. My M&D would do exactly the same.

Because it's easier to clear fresh snow that wait until it's got compacted and turned to ice underneath.

On a similar note (well sort of), I notice the TV weather persons are now giving out 'severe weather warnings'. It's not severe weather 'tis normal winter weather.

It is, but I expect they don't want to be sued. Everything must be 'extreme' or people don't pay attention.

You certainly live up to your name.

Why not just hit the 'Delete' button rather than taking more time and trouble to edit your post into irrelevant guff.
