Yes, a bit worrying, they were meant to be one of the big players in the up coming FIA GT1 World Champ. . .

Business must be bad for them at the moment. Next question is where will the two Nissan GT1's go now that Gigawave won't be running them. The other two are with SRT.

Also worth noting that Gigawave sponsored a few teams and drivers, I wonder if those partnerships will remain.

One of the Nissans was down at the Algarve Autodrome yesterday with a variety of drivers at the wheel. Most of the Nissan developers have moved across to the new team. SRT and Sumo Motorsport are both entering cars.

Here is a link to the Nissan GT racing website.

I thought something like this would happen. . .and expect a factory effort at Le Mans. I watched them at the Spa 24hr race last from the pitlane and they worked like clockwork, the car only had a few minor problems.

Excuse my ignorance, I am a mere spectator, but I understand Nigel Stepney was heavily involved with Gigawave. Is there anything going on behind the scenes with the FIA, ACO or anyone else which might have caused issues?

I believe that he is only a consultant and therfore is not falling under the FIA ban.
