I'm looking for the wisdom of PH to settle an argument between me and the gf. I reckon that if you wear a kilt you should do the decent thing and go sans shreddies whereas she reckons no-one actually does it.

So who is right?

If you need to ask, then you have no business in wearing one in the first place, like the idiots who do it at weddings despite not being Scottish in the slightest.

Agree with the comment about the hired kilt! I would say it depends what you're doing. There can be accidental glipses etc if you're sitting down across from someone/ sitting on a floor etc!

Has to be commando or your a poof.
However be warned, when sitting down make sure the back of the kilt hits the seat first! Nothing makes a guy jump like warm balls on a cold metal chair!

I go commando, however as an Englishman, all my kilts are leather and very short, none of this tartan stuff for me.

You big girl biggrin

-27 in Canada is my record.

(for those that have never worn one, it's surprisingly warm.)

But, yes, if it's hired...eww.

Depends on a few things for me.

Amount of children around (don't want to give them nightmares)
How drunk I will be.
How cold it is (I'm sorry I was not commando on xmas day driving around in a 1916 open racing car)

I don't know why its such a problem, I don't care what you have on under your trousers!

That's actually a very good point. The amount of women I met who thought nothing of sticking their hand up, or lifting it, was incredible. Now, whilst I welcome any kind of attention (obviously), if I tried that with some bird's skirt, I'd either be slapped or arrested.

I agree 100%. We know the kilt gets us a lot of attention from the ladies and it's the perfect ice-breaker, but the amount of women who happily stick their hands up to see what's what is amazing. In a club in England just a few weeks ago, I got chatting to two ladies who at the same time stuck their hands up my kilt. lick
