For those of you who haven't seen it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqmzAuQzW-I
I am thinking of organising a road trip over there this year to see one of the rounds, and I was just wondering if anybody had been before or had any experience of any of the events? Eg. Spectating, and perhaps the quality of the local towns as well for all the usual amenities
I am struggling to track some stuff down at the moment due to the language barrier (Google Translate does go a long way mind!) I have however found the Calendar of this years events-
01./02. Mai - European Hill Race Eschdorf (L) May - European Hill Race Eschdorf (L)
23./24. 23-24. Mai - Wolsfelder AvD Bergrennen (D) May - Wolsfeld AvD race (D)
26./27. 26-27. Juni - ADAC Ibergrennen-Heiligenstadt (D) June - ADAC Ibergrennen-Heiligenstadt (Germany)
03./04. 03./04. Juli - ADAC Rennsteig-Bergrennen (D) July - Rennsteig ADAC-Bergrennen (D)
17./18. 17-18. Juli - Homburger ADAC Bergrennen (D) July - Homburger ADAC Bergrennen (D)
07./08. 07./08. August - AvD Hauenstein-Bergrennen (D) August - AvD Hauenstein-Bergrennen (D)
21./22. 21-22. August - Osnabrücker ADAC Bergrennen (D) August - ADAC Bergrennen Osnabrück (D)
28./29. 28-29. August - Int. August - Int. ACS Bergrennen Oberhallau (CH) ACS hillclimb Oberhallau (CH)
11./12. 11-12. September - AvD Bergrennen Unterfranken (D) September - AvD Bergrennen Unterfranken (D)
18./19. 18-19. September - Auto-Bergrennen St. Agatha (A) September - Auto Bergrennen St. Agatha (A)
02./03. 02./03. Oktober - ADAC Bergrennen Mickhausen (D) October - ADAC Bergrennen Mickhausen (D)
Any info whether it is about the championship or the locations of events would be greatly appreciated. (Mods can decide if this is General Motorsport or Events/Meetings/Travel)

Hello JayPee !
I am not into the "Berg" racing scene, only see the cars on trailers sometimes
on the Autobahn driving to or from a Drag Race.
There sure is very interesting machinery on "the way up", some great classics/youngtimers too.
Anyway : I found this guy, he runs a Fan Site with forum:
http://www.berg-meisterschaft.de/dbmindex.htm , sadly only in german,
but here are his contact data :
http://www.berg-meisterschaft.de/dbmimpr.htm
He seems to be a photo guy, maybe ask him which race is good to attend with hotel/camping/beer nearby.
Once you have chosen your location, you might post about it in the "Germany" section of PH,
and get advice how to get there, what else to see, and maybe meet some other PHers.

Thanks for that Benni, sounds like a good plan! I forgot to mention yesterday I am limited due to Uni commitments and couldn't do the first or last few events, and also the distance to some of the events could be an issue, at the moment it looks like the Hauenstein or Osnabruck events will be the best bets, so I will do a bit more research into these!I am not into the "Berg" racing scene, only see the cars on trailers sometimes
