Rear Lights etc
Discussion
Oh the joys of owning a tuscan!
Help needed , I seem to be going through a continual run of problems.
New clutch a few months ago, no sooner than that was repaired the master cylinder started leaking.
On the drive back from getting that repaired the alternator went.
Repaired that myself and now lo and behold another problem.
I have no rear lights though the brake lights work. When I press the brake peddle the headlights come on and the 4 led's
around the mirror switches light up .
Read the post re the lead behind the pod - have tried that to no avail.
Could this all be down to the brake peddle switch. Is it possible that when they replaced the clutch master cylinder
they could have knocked something down there. I really don't want to do a Houdini in the foot well until I really need to.
Have tried tinkering with the rear lights anyhow in case they were just loose or shorting.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

thanks for replies so far gents.
Headlights work ok just not rear lights and it is fact the side lights that come on when I depress the brake peddle and only then,
Nelly1 do you need to get under the car to access that earth connection or remove gearbox cover inside car.
Are there any other earths I should look for?

Forgive me I am not a great motor electrician - how would I go about doing that?
is it just a matter of re earthing the car or would it have to be in a specific place.
How do I re- earth it?
Please assume you are talking to an idiot here - I don't mind you talking me through it like
a child if it doesn't take up too much of your time.
Thanks
Simon
