Really decent film.
Couldn't find a thread on here about it so decided to start one.

The child actors are brill.

This is how a vampire love story should be.
Seriously bad ass and with plenty of blood.

There's already an American remake in the works which will no doubt suck.

One of the best films of last year by far. Book is a bit of a tricky read mind, personally I prefer the toned down child/adult relationship of the film version as the book can be pretty uncomfortable in places IMHO.

Yeah, I've heard that the book is pretty brutal compared to the film.
Quite interesting reading about the book though. Made two scenes (The 'peek' scene and the 'go steady' scene) make much more sense.
And actually changed the meaning of the film for me.

Yes. Although the book made it clear that the "girl"'s motivation in being friendly with the boy was pure friendship. The film's version of the story could be interpreted as "her" interest was in establishing another human accomplice.

Great film, though. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just read that the Americanized version of the film will be called "Let me in"... How abrupt does that sound!

The American teen film audience have shorter attention spans than uber cool europeans obviously. I'm surprised its not reduced to txt spk rolleyes
