Most 'disappointing' film you have seen?
Discussion
There is a thread for the 'worst' film but it doesnt really cover the most disappointing or overated. So a new thread would be nice, i thought.
I'd start with Harry Potter 6 - a late comer to the films and books, i wont lie, but i really enjoyed the first 5 and love the idea of witchcraft and wizardry. I have to say No.6 left me completely bored. I only saw it once and havent bothered with the DVD.
Batman. Eh? Some rude ponce (who Christian Bale seemed to actually turn into in real life) who turns into a husky grumpy guy with a fetish coupled with annoying acting by Heath Ledger for The Joker and a random amount of violence and stupid looking vehicles. OMG i was bored off my tits
There are plenty of others that i'll add as the thread goes on and when i remember them, but that'll do for starters

Star Wars Part 1.
I loved the original 3, even the one with the teddy bears. When the trailers for Part 1 came out it looked awesome.
Dutifully bought my tickets when they came available.
The 20th century Fox / Lucasarts logo came up, the cinema fell silent.
"A Long time ago in a galaxy far, far away........."
It kicked in, we're all good!!!
However, about some 20+ minutes into the film, the slow realisation crawled over the room that what we all hoped was going to be awesome was actually a steaming pile of crap, that it made almost no sense or the slightest attempt at continuity.
Well maybe part two would be better, it had been a long time since Lucas had made a film, maybe he was rusty!
Erm no, that was shocking too, as was 3 (3 was possibly worse that 1, which shouldn't have been possible)!
Well at least Indiana Jones was safe, he couldn't possibly f
k that up too!
Oh wait, he did.

Another +1 for said terrible Star Wars prequels and Indiana "ET" Jones ..was the final Nail-in-the-Coffin for Lucasfilms as far as I'm concerned
What about the recent Inglorious Bast*rds? Was looking forward to this expecting something as clever as Pulp Fiction .. Came out the cinema feeling robbed of 2hrs of my life and so dissapointed.

Crank 2. The first one was hilariously over the top, the second one had weird hallucinations where he had a giant godzilla battle in a powerstation.
No I cannot agree with you on that one! I don't normally like films with Jason Statham but both Crank films were great.Disappointed by the new Star Trek film, very shallow relationships between the characters left me feeling indifferent at the end.
Also, like a lot of people, Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull didn't have the 'awesome' feeling that the previous Indy films have.
Quantum of Solace. Not the worst film by a long shot, but by far the most disappointing. Casino Royale was so well done and I was expecting QoS to be more of the same...it wasn't.
Criminal mastermind controls a (proportion) of Bolivia's water. As the plot to a Bond film. Right...
As ever, Maddox sums it up well.
