Racing in Birmingham??

I think K123 posted about this before... last night I heard it too... some sort of loud hard driven cars about, repeatedly, sounded pretty cool. No idea what it was, around 1am???!

Used to see large groups gathering in an old petrol station near Garrison Circus on Sunday nights ,in small hours .Several at a time would shoot out and racetoward the centre .This was a year or two back .

I've heard the noises, they sound like V8's at high revs, and fairly constant, not what you would expect from hooning round the spine roads, multiple similar sounding engines on a short track.

I took a guess at perry barr speedway bikes, but checking out their calendars never matched the right times.

That sounds like the F1 stock cars at Birmingham Wheels to me, i heard them quite a few times during the day practicing whilst im at work.

Definately at night. Oh and definately not perry barr, I am south Birmingham based.
