Driving home last night "Reifenpanne" came up --- this is Tyre Failure!
I think my computer might be on the blink - it keeps on telling me to check my brake lights, which are fine...

Why is my car suddenly speaking German??

Any suggestions???

Or you have a leak in one of the tyres? Did you recently change tyres, and didn't recalibrate the Tyre Pressure Control Monitor?

Must be the time of year.

I got a "brake light warning" message recently - nothing wrong.

And a "tyre defect" message last week - also nothing wrong but it put the sts up me for a while. Nowhere in Jersey seems to stock tyres for an E39 M5, nor could they price up some from the UK.

Tyres appear fine and no further messages received.

hmmmmmm

The car is probably getting it's nickers in a twist, I had Reifenpanne appear twice and on both occassions it was after extended periods (60 mins+) averaging very, very high speeds legally, appearing after about 5-6 minutes of further low speed driving, I just put it down to the tyres cooling.

Brake light warning maybe one of the lights on it's way out, have you also checked the rear centre light as well?
