Shamelessly stolen from another thread...

Jan 5th - statistically the most depressing day of the year!
I'm not remotely depressed. 2009 was the worst and hardest year of my whole life, so 2010 feels like a big relief and I'm approaching it with a really positive mindset. Yesterday evening I had my first date with a lovely young woman who I got on really well with - we've arranged to see each other again and been texting each other quite a bit this morning. This year already feels like the complete antithesis of last year and today, on what is reputed to be the most depressing day of the year, I feel happier than I have in a long time. Is anyone else feeling great?

Me neither, its snowing hard, 4 inches of snow on the ground, cup of coffee on the go and the cat walking through the snow is the funniest thing i have seen in ages

Congratulations, and good luck for 2010.

I'm part of the statistics.

Not feeling fantastic at all today. Found out yesterday that when I drove through a pothole I'd damaged the balljoint on the lower wishbone; my other car didn't want to start because the battery was flat; I've got a cold; I didn't get much sleep last night and the pipes to my washing machine are frozen.

Its cold, wet and I am hungry, I have a shedload of work to get through by the end of the month, have to spend tomorrow freezing my arse off in a forest and need to spend the weekend and early next week travelling around the pennines and lake district using roads that are currently closed. So I shall go to the pub tonight and stop worrying biggrin

I'm feeling incredibly good today

I managed to sit on the throne after 2 days being constipated.

Have felt better.

Spent 3 and a half hours on a full Q1 opportunity review / forecast call with senior management yesterday. When I got off the call, found out that I had to go to hospital this morning for pre-operative tests and have an operation booked for Monday.

Not feeling sorry for myself, or any less well than normal over the health issue (minor) just slightly peed off at the lack of notice, and the need to scrap my work diary that I spent the tail end of December putting together.

Still, our NHS works hard to help us, and if you get an opportunity to get yourself fixed, you grab it with both hands in this country.

Sod the diary! I'd like to breathe properly again.

Just you - I've just worked out I'm already overdrawn this month, and have a kids birthday and road tax to contend with before Feb.

I feel tip top today.

I am eternally optimistic although that does mean I go through life faintly disappointed.

That doesn't deter me though, oh no. Even having a meeting on a very cold roof for an hour this morning was improved by the fact that the lady I was meeting had a fabulous bum, and I went down the ladder first! Reassured me that the glass was still half full!
