Amazing isn't it, how the place has come to a standstill?

My girlfriends 12 year old brother hasn't gone to school today, her mum said "I can't drive in this". They live at the top of Preston New Road, he goes to St Georges. It's a 5 minute walk.

My sons primary school closed at 1pm. Despite the fact it's stopped snowing, looks like blue skies are on the way and the roads are relatively clear compared to the snowfall two weeks ago.

I'm in Darlington, it snowed overnight and a bit this morning but nothing in the past few hours. We've got about three inches of compacted snow/ice/new snow on the ground, the main roads are passable but the side roads and pavements are hell.

Not a snot of snow here. We have offices in north Wales (Closed) South Wales (Closed) and Mid Wales very much open, blue skies and clear roads you can guess which one im working out of!.

Knowing my luck the snow come North - South and South - North will meet in the middle and it will be like something out of the day after tomorrow when I leave later today.
