Loft Condensation
Discussion
Is it normal to have some condensation in the loft this time of year when it’s freezing outside?
I had not noticed anything before but to be honest I hadn’t really looked. If anything I rarely go up there apart from when the ball cock was leaking back in the summer, it was bone dry then definitely, the only other time usually is Christmas time to get the deco’s down. I had put some boards down a few months back now, not many just a few along the middle as its quite a low pitched roof, and the tanks are at the end. I hardly store anything up there apart from a few odd boxes as well as the Christmas decorations.
I have never really noticed any condensation before but thats not to say that there was none, however when i went to get the Christmas deco’s down I noticed some drips onto the new boards looked up and saw some condensation on the felt, not loads but definitely noticeable,
I have checked the vents and they are not obstructed and the meshes on the vent holes are clear. I must admit I wasn’t up there long it is bloody freezing up there.

Probably Normal, if it's only a small amount - before boarding it would have soaked into the rockwool without you noticing, but with the boards in you can see the drips.
