I know it's a daft question, but I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who has ever had a TR as a daily driver?! Obviously in the UK it's pretty much a non-starter, but I was chatting to a chap at Verdi's a couple of weeks ago and he said he'd love one if he lived in a slightly more open area of the south of France. Presumably it might be feasible in the US also? If the b*gger wasn't so wide, I'd consider one on my budget biggrin

Actually, in that vein, what's the craziest daily driver anyone has heard of someone using?!

Apologies, wine + laptop = daft posts on PH biggrin

I knew a chap some years ago who almost always used either his Daytona or his Countach LP400 for the daily commute into London. cool

I think that YellowTR uses his car a lot - maybe even as a daily driver. Mine comes out when it's sunny. 2000 miles last year.

Yup, used mine as a daily hack over last year commuting to work. Not so much since I am working in Central London and I have to supplement the "the up keep of London roads" rolleyes Congestion Charge as I work in Covent Garden now, but I have done so a few times last month.

It is used for the shopping run, gym run, moving PC's, monitors, going to the local dump. Its been used in snow, ice, rain and all sorts and she has been a good girl. Takes a while to warm up to be fair and 2nd gear is a bit pony when its cold. MPG? Who cares. If I wanted economy I would walk.

Surprisingly docile in traffic and you can creep along and no real dramas, even in the London peak traffic. You get a lot of looks (then again its bright yellow) and people are a bit marmite over it and you do get the odd Nescafe hand sign or a few gobs-one of which was in my local high st!

Two of the directors of a company near me had a Testarossa and a 348 which were at the office every day, so obviously daily drivers. Both cars were bought new in the early '90s and kept for a number of years. Not sure what mileage they ended up at but I saw both of them around a lot. I saw the 348 owner's wife driving it on a number of occasions too.

I work near Barbican. Apparently my colleagues spotted a yellow TR a couple of weeks ago - I was pretty sure it had to be you...not to many yellow TRs around! Good shout smile

Though he doesn't drive one now... That was my dream car.

That would have been me smile The car was doing a photoshoot around that way and I was probably stuck in traffic. Photoshoot was fun, will post the final results when I have them.
