There is fabulous GT40 for sale ...

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/836111.htm

I notice it has been on the market a very long while. Can anyone shed any light on ownership of one of these ?

Is it practical ? Running costs ? where to get maintenance ? Are parts easy to get ? etc etc.

Thanks to all those respond.

You'll get a new one to your spec for that price. Google Rod Leach Nostalgia - he's the UK distributor. Or deal with the US agents and play them off against each other. You'll save a chunk of cash but have to IVA it then though.

Rene, You cannot seriously spend the cost of a CAV or Superformance GT40 and have it LHD. The gearshift can only be in one place, on the RHS sill.

The Superformance cars sold in the USA look shyte for the very reason they are LHD. Get the steering wheel on the proper side.
