Wife has been round Weighton and said it was OK apart from side roads. Arras Hill was causing a few problems for LGVs late last night but everything else was OK, then it was ploughed/gritted and was perfectly passable. I would imagine it'll be pretty much the same, if not better, today.
Been driving all over East Yorks all week in my diesel MGZS (otherwise no wages)....where there's a will there's a way.
Wasn't happy about sitting on Boothferry road in Hull for nearly 3 hours Friday afternoon though, cos some dick decided to have an accident and others no idea how to drive on slippery surfaces STILL.
Set off from Hull 4.30pm, got back to York 9pm.

Clear from York to the top of Arras hill yesterday then it got bad very quickly. Glad i leave work early on a friday. Imagine its clear today but if it starts drifting there might be problems.
Heard from someone this morning that it took them 6 hours from Hull to Cherry Burton - the worlds gone mad!

We drove back from Harrogate last night. Set off at 4pm so we hit the worst of the snow, but still its wasn't that bad and we got up Arras easily although I have to say very slowly. If the whole line of traffic had left some space and crawled up together at 10mph if would have been much quicker and safer and to be honest would probably have kept the road a bit clearer.
Total travel time Harrogate to Beverley was 3 hours 10 minutes which I didn't think was too bad in the conditions, especially as my sister left work in Beverley at 5:30pm and didn't get home to Willerby Rd in Hull until nearly 9pm.

That was probably due to the accident on the Humber bridge/Boothferry Rd roundabout which screwed up the whole system, including the Cottingham bypass.
Still seen a few idiots imagining themselves to be invincible, like the young guy in the Golf who exited the Humber Bridge car park (where I was eating my sarnies), lost in on the bend and smacked the back wheel hard into the kerb.
Did I get out of my warm car that he'd just missed to help ?
Nope.

There was more than one accident.Still seen a few idiots imagining themselves to be invincible, like the young guy in the Golf who exited the Humber Bridge car park (where I was eating my sarnies), lost in on the bend and smacked the back wheel hard into the kerb.
