Sticky number plate on the bonnet

Any thoughts - pros or cons to changing the front number plate from its usual place in front of the grill to having a sticky on the bonnet above the TVR lettering.
If only the car 'could' have an Italian style front plate or none at all (dream on!) as that horrible plate just ruins the image and lines of the front car and its grill, beside I guess another advantage in the summer, it would allow more air flow into the engine rather than being 'bounced' off by the front plate.
Not a huge fan of the stickies, but warming to the idea of the 'E-type' image with the front plate
But I thought I would collect any thoughts first.
Plus - where is a good place to get a front 'sticky' plate made?

No they're not as there is a mounting point supplied lower down in the vertical position required by the regs.....Extract from regs:
Fixing of registration plates: vehicles registered before the relevant date
7. - (1) This regulation applies to vehicles, other than works trucks, road rollers and agricultural machines, first registered before the relevant date.
(2) Except as provided in paragraph (4), a registration plate must be fixed in the manner required by paragraph (3) on -
(a) the front of the vehicle, and
(b) the rear of -
(i) the vehicle or,
(ii) where the vehicle is towing a trailer, the trailer or,
(iii) where the vehicle is towing more than one trailer, the rearmost trailer.
(3) This paragraph requires each plate to be fixed -
(a) in a vertical position or, where that is not possible, in a position as close to the vertical as is reasonably practicable, and
(b) in such a position that in normal daylight the characters of the registration mark are easily distinguishable, in the case of a plate fixed on the front of the vehicle, from in front of the vehicle and, in the case of a plate fixed on the rear of the vehicle or trailer, from behind the vehicle or trailer.

I use a 2/3rd size plate which is 'technically' an MOT failure but in practice the BiB think it's OK and that includes being stopped in a census with ANPR in operation. (pic in profile)

No wonder, not many of the Griff owners have done the 'switch!'

Apart from 'vertical mounted' issues, I've not found a supplier which sells 'sticky plates' with the now mandatory BS kite mark.
I have a cut down standard plate on the front of my Griff which is absolutely legal but I still had some jumped up little BiB give me a ticket for it as he didn't know the regs and, of course, we're guilty until proven innocent
. I was proven innocent of course.
.Seems to be a complete luck of the draw to me... people seem to be saying they are illegal but I have not seen anybody on here actually saying they have been done for having one 
Last year myself & a friend in another Griff where pulled over
. My friend was fined £30 because his front plate was 10mm to narrow in height whereas my stick on plate was fine. I would assume if the knew enough about the size regs to fine my friend then he would have also have known whether my stick on plate was legal or not
