What actually happens at this event? From what I've seen on the web it is just a field full of TVRs but surely there must be more to it.

A field full of Tivs is enough for me , that many cars gives you plenty to look at . I went in 08 but it falls on my sons birthday again so unlikely to go this year .
The house gardens and farm are worth a visit without any Tivs parked in front so i think there is more than enough to fill a day and there are hoons too if you feel the need for more driving .

The event has grown hugely in size. The Staurday usually will have a run out and I imagine pub meal (09 I think there were 2 runs but I could be wrong).

Sunday will be (I think) the biggest gathering of TVRs in the UK for the year (perhaps if the Back Home event comes off, that may also be huge). It wouldn't be practical to physically do much on the Sunday by way of activities due to the numbers and safety issues, there will also be restrictions by Chatsworth which will have to be adhered to. Some people will go to look at the house and grounds no doubt.

"A while"....? I couldn't believe how long we queued for our pasties last year Dave, around an hour wasn't it?! To be fair I think the number of people there exceeded the norm for Chatsworth by far This year I'll be taking a picnic and having a relaxing lunch on the grass surrounded by 100's & 100's of TVR's

I'd have thought that so many "prospective customers" would have attracted several trade stands ? But maybe organisers don't want to turn it into a commercial event?

I suppose it could also be that Chatsworth don't want trade stands all over their front lawn.

In answer to one of the above questions, either Chats chatged a lot for trade stands or they don't allow them - can't remember which now though.

My theory is if it ain't broke don't fix it, 2006 = 160, 2007 = 296, 2008 = 403 and 2009 = 676 TVRs. The cost, time, insurance and rules and regs and a few other things mean I stay away from stalls but Chatsworth have allowed me to have the TVRCC stand there. Hope you still all have a great day and as someone pointed out it's not all about the cars it's about the people you meet and boy does that make it one great day out (even for me as I don't seem to get time to meet too many on the day)
