My first day back to work after my days off (was last on shift Monday evening) and can't get into work!
Left the car idling for 15 mins or so and then tried to move it and managed 6ft before wheelspin stopped me going anywhere!
Couldn't even move the car in 3rd gear...

So who else is having a quiet day? biggrin

My plan is to get a cassorole on the go, drop my son off at his first day at his new job, go and see my Mum and make sure she doesn't need anything, pick son up and come home and bake some brownines and some millionaire cake. lick

Driver's side door lock buggered, smashed the window trying to slam the door shut, twisted my ankle on the way back to the flat.

Unpaid day off.

Nice.

As we are in the worst effected area, and as my company haven't issued any guidance - I'm working from home. Screw them!

Office has been officially closed for 2 days (including today) in Farnborough.

Sitting in my home office in Swindon now, about 6 inches of snow outside. Dam this internet - it enables you to work from home......or Pistonhead from home.

On leave til the 18th. Coffee, Seinfeld on Virgin, PH. What more does a man need? smile

If its any consulation for anyone who thinks I'm a smug git this snow means that none of our customers will be able to get in either which could mean I don't have a job to go back to. frown

Not going to work?! I slept here!!

..just got a text from a friend having a second 'Snowday' because the roads are a bit slippy! FFS!!

If I dont work I dont get paid - simple as that, + deadlines dont move due to a bit of frosty rain.

The snow and ice hasn't reached the staircase yet, so I have no choice but to make it from the bedroom to the living room smile

Kids are back at school today as well, big congrats to the school for getting the boiler fixed, the heating back on and the mess cleared up in 3 days

Same here.

But I've had enough, so I'm at home today and judging by the weather at present I'll be in this same spot tomorrow.

Living a 10 minute walk from work gives me no valid excuse not to turn up.
