Larch silver paint code?

I'm having the front end re sprayed to sort out all the stone chips, they are having trouble matching the colour properly using spectral analysis.

So does anybody know the colout code for "Larch silver"?

That's the problem i am having, they are trying to match it with water based paint.

HI WHEN YOU FIND PAINT CODE OUT THAT MATCHES WILL YOU LET US KNOW WHERE YOU AQUIRED PAINT OR POST CODES AS IVE GOT SOME HEAT BLISTERS ON REAR CLAM TO PAINT AT SOME POINT CHEERS

They are having to match it by spectral analysis and eye,and have had several failed attempts so far. so after they have got it matched it will be near impossible to replicate.

You should be able to get a new paint code from them when it's done. At least it would be a good starting place for anyone else.

Kerridges body shop painted my larch silver car and the match was very good, maybe a phone call in that direction may be benificial ?

I have found out as much information as i can, so far they have failed miserably at matching the paint with a water based system.so i contacted Noble and they gave me the original paint code.

Now these above codes Noble gave me are useless, because the Thinners based paint system has been banned! So i contacted Noble again and said i need them to give me codes that i can get the paint mixed in water based and they said "sorry we do not have this information!!"

So i was a bit pissed off with Noble's attitude, they are wiping there hands clean and saying we were nothing to do with the paint system, that was done in Africa?? Imagine if you went to Ford and they said "sorry the paint is nothing to do with us".

That aside Simon at Noble has said he thinks he might know a supplier, who has some old thinners based paint still in stock, hopefully he will get back in touch and i will have to get some shipped over.

But still it would be good for us to know how to replicate this colour with a water based system for future reference.

Does anybody know how to translate the above codes to a water based system?

You know I had all this recently at a very expensive classic car restorers (it was in the company of £7 million worth of motors - yeah, was the cheapest in there but they loved it!). They even have the latest electronic mixing machines, use the best paints (costalot!). They couldn't get cross-match reference data from the paint co., to go from ours to the latest non-solvent based paint, so instead used trial and error - painting it twice to get it correct.

I really haven't heard of anyone going into their paintshop and getting the silvers correct first go - happy to be corrected.

I had my titanium resprayed correctly first time. Well the colour was spot on (and i like to think of myself as a picky bugger) but the finish was not up to par the first time on the splitter. Maybe the Larch is more of a pain. The sprayer was based in Coventry and may still be there if anyone wants details.

They have had 3 attempts so far and still not found a semi decent match, but then again i am in Cyprus, so to be expected really.

I know this post is old, but I am hoping you can help. I have a Larch Silver Noble and I am looking for some paint. Being ignorant of these things do I ask the paint supplier for the complete list below ?.

yes just pass that information onto your painter.

If you leave you car out in the sun then it may need to be a touch lighter to match existing, due to your paint being sun bleach, but still there are so many factors with metallic, they are very difficult to match perfect.
