So just how fragile are Rocket Ron's?
Discussion
There's some fairly mixed reports around on the net. Speaking for running the 2.25" with a medium to lightweight tube for fairly light xc use will I be repairing a puncture every other ride eventually completely splitting the sidewall open on a small rock, or will I be fine so long as I say away from any rougher, rockier terrain?
My current standard felt tyres aren't up to much and weigh in at 580g each so looking for lighter replacements...

Been using the lightest version of Rocket Ron 2.25 for around 1 year for training on and off road and for racing marathon events, including Kielder 100. Running ghetto tubeless and only had one puncture on a training ride where a rock blew one of the tread blocks through the casing. Very sturdy race tyre.
