I am looking for a new job, and one has come up in crowthorne. But the most obviouse route for me would include the lightwater bypass.. I will be travelling from Knaphill.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&amp...

Any ideas of a reasonable route where i am not going to get caught in too much traffic???

Thanks

I go through Chobham to the M3 on the way to nonut's house. Go over the M3 heading to Bracknell and do a left at the roundabout to go past Coral Reef. And Robert is very much your father's brother.

ETA: the only sticky bit is the lightwater bypass/M3 roundabout but it's not that bad. Should take about 20 mins from Knaphill. (I live in Woking too.)

There's actually a neat little route around the lightwater bypass for when the traffic's bad - i had a girlfriend who lived in Knaphill and i worked in Bracknell at the time.

Saves time because it's always empty...

Thanks for that one.. If i can turn Right out of those lights on the A322 it would be good at missing the traffic on the M3 roundabout.

That's what i used to do... then shoot up the A322.
As Avril said, turn left the the Coral Reef roundabout and you're practically there!

Before i worked out the shortcut i'd spend 25 to 40 minutes getting down that last 1/2 mile of dual carriageway just to cross the M3.

Live in Bagshot and as such i can confirm that is the best route around the M3.

And if there is a problem on the A322 you will see it as you go over the bridge. biggrin

You can't, you have to go over the a322 towards bagshot, round the roundabout back onto the a322 and turn left.

Alternatively go north of the golf course and join the a30.

Revs is right, forgot about that, yes i used to go straight over, then double back around the roundabout and come back again then turn left at the lights, usually still on green.

Still MUCH quicker than queuing for the bleedin' M3...

Total loss

Ah, that is where that bridge goes. Takes you right by The Bee too.... Very handy wink
