Got put up here a couple of years ago by work and thought it was pretty nice. I remember I wanted to stay in the bath instead of hitting the town as it was so plush.

The Hilton hotel group has special offers on for all their london hotels if you book before and of Jan. Valid for any weekend stay during the year. You would get a lovely room easily under your budget.

I usually book through late rooms or booking.com however, at this time of the year the hotel websites themselves have many offers on.

Got to Hazlitt's http://www.hazlittshotel.com/ or the sister hotel The Rookery. Have stayed at them maybe 6 times now. Can't fault them. No in house restaurant. Try Alastair Little at Soho or St.John for the Rookery. Lovely honesty bar at the Rookery till 3a.m. will be sub £200.

I really enjoyed staying here for my 30th. Great for that kind of money in London. I had the best birthday as my fiancee took me to Le Gavroche. I can't recommend it enough as it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. It was pricey mind!
