It's warmed by the Gulf Stream, if I recall. Either that, or the snow isn't there yet.

Plenty of snow around Dublin and the Wicklow mountains (look at the eastern half).

And PLEASE don't call it SOUTHERN Ireland (unless you really ARE referring to southern Ireland - which means Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Kerry only).

Right - two tickets to Anglesey for me please! smile

The satellite image for the snow we had before Christmas was pretty cool. Basingstoke (near where I am) had a white circle over it, and the whole rest of England was green! biggrin

I thought Winky Mcfknut warned us that if we didn't Act On C02 (ie. pay more 'green' taxes), the world was going to wilt with all this global warming.

The average increase of global warming is tiny compared with seasonal and sporadic variations. This is just a bad winter.

I'm in about the only bit not covered according to that-South Ayrshire. Still white here though, mainly with ice.

Hey Mr Big Cahones, you obviously have a deep lack of political knowledge as well as some ignorance of the rightly high esteem Eric is held in here, I know who I would want on my side in a skirmish.

Agreed, it did seem a pretty extraordinary comment to make. Wonder what his problem is?

There's nothing wrong with calling it Southern Ireland. Seems a strange thing to have a problem with and I've seen him get pissy about it on other threads aswell and I find it annoying and I believe it makes him sound like an idiot. Therefore I'm voicing my opinion, what forums are for etc.

Good enough for you?

Wow. Are there any other of your pet foibles we need to steer clear of, or is that it?
