Anyone use a decent weather website? I've been using www.metcheck.com which looks nice, but tends to be wrong.

Anyone got any recommendations?

WeatherActive is meant to be the nuts, but you have to pay for it. They even predicted the storms and floods up north back in August - got the day accurate and everything. Its run by a guy who uses solar information to help, and he's seen as the most reliable in the world. Shipping, airlines etc use him.

www.weather.co.uk seems to be pretty unreliable at the moment, seemingly changing their forecast completely on an hourly basis ( less forecasting, more 'look out the window and say what you see' ), though it's normally quite good

They are all as unreliable as each other.

When they can't even accurately predict the weather in 24 hours time how the hell do they expect us to believe what they say about how the climate will change in the future....Seriously...

I use my noggin and look outside and to the sky. I was right that it wouldn't snow down our way on Tuesday night like the local News was hyping and I was right on the same night that it wouldn't drop below 0. I was also right that last night would be the cold one, as it was at -6.

I have found them quite accurate over the years. The UK weather tends to be quite unpredictable at the best of times... recently the weather has been much more unpredictable than usual making everyone's forecasts more shakey!

www.windguru.com used by windsurfers mainly but this site is extremly accurate if you live on the coast.

According to BBC weather the UK is "very cold"

I'd say that's accurate.

Same with the Met Office, but then I am in Exeter, so are they, so I should have it right.

The farmers normaly get it right for long range forcasts.

Hmm, netweather says it is -3 here yet both car and house are telling me -14 frown

Netweather can't account for local variations. If you live in a dip with plenty of high ground around, the dense cold air will fall around you and make it colder.

Generally speaking, I don't last night was as cold as forecast by Sky News etc, -3 seems quite average for last night.

+1 I'm a "pro" subscriber with them. The forecasts they use are not just applicable to the coast though.

I tend to look at them all and take the average from them. I understand they all get their info from the Met office though?

yr.no - Worth a visit, as long as you can find the "english" page.

As recommended to me by a colleague. (Hi JV wavey )
