I booked my first track days up in December, for the 16th and 23rd January.

What a choice - it looks like they will be called off if this weather continues. I expected it to be cold and maybe wet but not snow and ice!

Anyone else booked on some soon or had any cancelled?

What's MSV's policy - do they give a credit? I guess I'll find out frown

I've done both Anglesey (the old circuit), Oulton Park and Elvington in the snow - while the two proper circuits were fun it was the airfield that was the best.

Still had to do lots of laps behind a 'course car' to give us some idea of grip and to make a bit of a 'dry' line at the proper circuits, but I remember spinning up in 2nd-5th gears on the top straight at Anglesey.

I have booked to go on the Bedford MSV trackday on the 23rd. (My first proper trackday.)

If it is still icy I suppose it will be good for learning to drift!

Personally I wouldn't even consider icy track or even airfield day. However skilled you are theres always going to be *one* out there who's ready to hit you.

Car control day? Thats a different matter biggrin

Just remember that Bedford has huge runoff - nearly everywhere. Where it doesn't - go easy. Provided everyone keeps their distance it should be a hoot!

Did you decide to re book with Caterham or have you asked for your money back for the December day at Brands we had cancelled?
Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim, good to see you on here!

I asked for a refund - not because I didn't want to re-book but because there weren't (and still aren't) any dates in the calendar yet.

I do hope that the weather isn't trying to tell me something laugh

I've booked up a few more track days a bit later too; Brands Indy on 12th Feb; Snetterton on 12th April and Mallory on 10th April. Probably be an earth quake on those dates wobble and my destiny is to have no track time at all before our events!

Are you waiting to re-book with Caterham? Have any time to fit in some other trackdays?

Decided to sit tight and wait for them to come up with some alternative dates although, as you say, none forthcoming at the moment so I'll give them a little while longer then decide whether to take the credit.

No other track days done so far....still building the damn thing!!! Do have some dates in mind for February and March though subject to completion of course and I booked the Curborough sprint school thing for April.
