I'm looking to replace all 4 tyres on a 968 coupe.
At the moment I'm deciding between Bridgestone S02 or Pirelli.
Any thoughts as to which is likely to be best - or any others worth considering.
The car is only for commuting - no track days etc.
many thanks Andy

Have run the Bridgestone S02s and really don't like them - they spoil the feel, especially on the steering. P Zero's are a good all rounder, may not have the highest grip levels but they are honest (i.e. you can have some fun!).

Michelin do a good range for Porsche, I've run the pilot sport Cup (on track and road) and have been impressed - talk to Mark Hutchison at Hutchison Motorsport he knows his stuff and will point you in the right direction:

S02's great all rounder and good in the wet, P0's also good, but not as good as the S02's when it rains.

I run S02's on my Cup Car as my wet track and road legal set.

Just a thought Julian, are/were your S02's N-rated? If not sidewalls not as stiff.

964C2 with Ecsta Supra 712s on 225/50R17 and 255/40R17 - almost half the price of PZero's, maybe not quite as quick but with all the fun!

The S02's I was quoted on were N rated
I've used S02's on my TVR for a few years and been well impressed.
I think I'll go for the Bridgestones
thanks for your replies - Andy
