I'd read into that that they don't really know!
Nobody really knows of course but, a 4th to 8th finish @ 8-5 is showing as their favourite. Before the off, those would be my feelings too. Selection Odds

I do not expect Herr Schumacher M. will have any steward assists now he no longer drives a red car. I do hope it's a really level playing field in that respect for all participants.
My younger brother back in the 1980s, was F1 odds compiler for one of the major UK Bookmakers. He was an even keener Motor Sports enthusiast than I and that's saying a lot. He knew his stuff. I'd be surprised if his modern day counterparts do not.

They did a sterling job with Brawn and Button's odds last year.

With a possible "Brawn effect" hunch in mind, I got Button @ 40-1 each way and Barrichello @ 100-1 each way before the first race of the 2009 season. The only bets i had before the start of the season. Hunches sometimes pay off ~ actually I felt at least one of the two Brawn drivers would be good for a 1-2-3 finish come the end of the season, as it happens, the both did ~ Barrichello paying 20-1 for a place....

On previous Honda form, both had no chance, but that hunch paid off handsomely for me and a few other punters.
What puzzled me was that my bookie would not pay out on Barrichello before the last race of the season as the did for Button. Even if Ruebens had a DNF in the last race he would still finish third at worst IIRC.
Its a bit difficult to bet on 2010 given the changes coming in with refuelling - some of the younger drivers, such as Hamilton and Vettel, have no experience of racing an F1 car with full fuel while it will also see teams needing to work with the changes.
I'd still expect to see the 'usual suspects' at the front though, the likes of McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari. Mercedes will be strong as well for obvious reasons but I think it will take Schumacher some time to get up to speed.
He may be the most succesful driver of all time but the cars are much different to when he last raced and racing it much different to the pre-season testing he'll carry out.
