I think it is Bonnie and I am sure you have asked this before
And nope, get some cats and some Pinot and accept life as it is.
The mad cat woman at her very best! And nope, get some cats and some Pinot and accept life as it is.
You should have just said "Put your knitted cardie on, bake some buns and join me on the darkside"

And I don't know why I replied to this thread, am fairly certain I have never been in love.

To get over someone you love more than anything in the world?
No. You just have to ride it out. Last March I posted the thread "Relationship break-up. How the hell do I get through it?" after my OH of 8.5 years finished with me. I was utterly devastated and could not see a point to life. If you'd told me then that one day I'd be fine I wouldn't have believed you. Now I look back and can't believe I could have felt so bad. At the time I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't even drive because my mind was so mashed that I couldn't concentrate on anything. I moved out of the house that I shared with her and into my parents place. I think this was key to my recovery. I love my parents but living with them was such a nightmare that I sorted myself a place to rent after about a month and moved in there. Once I had my independence and was forced to look after myself I started to move on. Then I started dating. Because I still loved my ex I didn't give a toss whether anyone else liked me or not, so I came across as very confident. Consequently I have had more dates in the ten months since my split with the ex than I did in the 26 years that I had lived before I met her! One particular woman was very nice and we saw each other for a few months. This taught me that you can love another woman's cute mannerisms (after thinking you couldn't live without the ex's cute mannerisms) and this really set me up. The best thing is that once you've realised that the really are "plenty more fish in the sea" you don't put up with any crap from anyone because you know there's always someone else out there, so you get more respect. Anyway, I recently met another really lovely young lady... went on the first date with her last Monday and got on really well and setting off shortly to meet her for lunch and an afternoon together.Basically, you won't believe me now, but it does get better and one day you'll feel better than you could ever have imagined. Ha ha, I can't believe I've just told someone all that - This is exactly what people were telling me last March/April!
