I need to remove the flywheel from my SBC. I understand that some SBCs have a seal in the centre and some don't. How do I tell whether or not mine has a seal, as I don't want to damage it when I pull the flywheel off? Thanks.

A puller or piece of stout angle iron with holes and a large socket in the middle. Just go at it steadily, equally
tightening opposing bolts, best not to hit it with a steel or iron impliment, copper brass or rubber mallet if you really must at all!
Shouldn't cause further damage to any seals......make sure very clean /de burred before rebuilding.
Good luck
