Sorry if theres a gazillio other posts on this but i wanted to post as a non trekie (never seen in a single episode/film before...although i'm 36 so i get the jist...spock, bones, kilgons)
This film made NO SENSE....has JJ not seen Back to the Future or The Butterfly Effect??? You cant screw with histroy to such a massive extent and still expect the crew of the Enterprise to all end in their place pretty much as if nothing happened!!!
And if Romulan dude was so keen to save his planet...well he's got 129 years to do it in now! In fact, not only can he be a hero (nero the hero?) by evacuating Romulus with 129 years to go....he can clean up on sports betting in the mean time!
And so many weak plot links just to tie charcters together....Nero putting spock on Hoth - made no sense, he can watch Vulcan go from the space ship then Nero gets to kill him - and Spock putting Jim on Hoth.....made no sense (they not got cells on that Enterprise?) Oh....handy that they both pick the same cave though! Oh, and look...here's scoty in a shed, so how did he get on the enterprise in the alternate future??????
10/10 for the dude from Heros playing Spock, Oscar winning eyebrow raise......but the plot sucked.
