Picked up a 2002 Citroen C3 just before christmas & I drove to France in it for New Years. Every works great so far, but along the way I lost half of the wheel arch/splash guard thingy.

From speaking to Citroen these thing are about £30 to replace, but does anyone know if it's a fairly easy job to do from home? I'm still waiting for the Haynes manual to arrive in the mail, how hard could it be to fit?

I don't have much history on working on cars, but I've done loads of work on by motorbike...surely that would be more fiddly than a car?

No idea, but they are normally just screws/clips (were on my Mercedes estate I used to have). Failing that, pop into the roller shutter entrance of a Citroen dealer and just ask one of the techs if he can just have a quick look for you - he will do it for free if just a two minute job, give you guidance or if it is a more intensive job, at least you can book it in wink

Never come across any splash guard yet that has been difficult to change as dom said normally a few screws and if your unlucky clips that can break , so all you will need to do when buying a new under guard is ask the parts man how much and what are the fixings for the guard .
If he says screws then all you need is the guard .

The will mean taking of the front wheel , maybe possible to do with just jacking up the front of the car , but its far easier to remove the wheel .

some cars , models like M power , Rs and super cars then the wheel arch under guard can be intergrated into other parts too smooth off the floor pan , or duct air to the brakes then a tiny bit harder wink
